I started this book on the beach one morning and I could not for the life of me put it down. My mom had to rip the book from my hands to force me to go in the water with my family. And that, my fellow readers, is when you know the book is super engrossing and amazing. I absolutely loved this book. It made me feel elated, sad, teary, desperate, happy/giddy, reminiscent, and the list goes on. I’m going to say that I understand and I predicted the ending BUT I didn’t want it to end that way; I wanted it to work with her true love but I guess true loves changes all the time especially if you want to grow as a person. I don’t know. I needed to read this. First love does not mean last love and I think that’s a lesson most of us end up learning as we grow to adulthood.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
