I loved it but it was missing something for me (I don’t know what it is yet), which is weird because the ideas, morals, growth of the character, and the story were all there. There’s also a certain self-awareness going on with this book as it reminded me of “Arabian Nights” and then the author mentions the book itself. And I said to myself, “Woah, freaky,” but it’s not really come to think of it. I don’t know… I enjoyed it but the hype made me think it might be one of my favorite books of all time… which it is not.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
