This book helps
I don’t know why… but the sheer misery and distaste (self-loathing) of the self and of others is simply cathartic to me. Houellebecq is a master at making me feel aghast (yet compassionate) but thrilled, and I am glad to see his poetry is no less different – than his fiction – in this matter.
