I’m actually so surprised at how similar it is to the TV show. This was like reading a fresh recap. Although I feel like the girls are more real and flawed in the books, which makes for an interesting read. Overall, it was an entertaining and quick read leading up to a train wreck for Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Hanna’s life but at least they’ll come together and be friends again so I’ll definitely be continuing this series to see how the original story diverts from the show and how it all resolves before watching the end of the show.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
