Wow. What an eerie, cool ending. I wasn’t surprised that it doesn’t offer much relief and resolution because evil will inherently always exist… but this series was a good portrayal about our struggle with our perceptions on what is good (righteous) vs. evil. Morality is highly tested in this series. I just wish we got more from its side characters but besides that this was beyond interesting to read and think about and I guess the greatest judgement Light could have gotten is the in between – no hell or no heaven…
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
