At the beginning of this book, I thought I was starting to lose my interest in this series – but boy oh boy – I was wrong. I can not wait for the next series. Cassandra Clare is an absolute genius. I can not wrap my head around how an author can weave all these characters and plot lines together. I also got so invested in the Thule chapters; they felt so necessary to the grief process and the reconciliation with all the deaths and showing that every decision and choice have repercussions whether they be big or small, good or bad. An unexpected conclusion to the Dark Artifices series but an absolutely appeasing and satisfying one.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
