This play was fantastic. It was very realistic and yes action pact, even if the only actions were through discussion and the revelation of the truth. The characters each had such a distinct voice that I did not even need to read the tags after a knowing their way of speech. I absolutely loved the strained family dynamics, which made for an interesting read. This play has also successfully touched upon themes of religion, sex, love, corruptness, innocence, depression and suicide, truth and lies, growing up, and seriously many more for such a short play. Overall, an amazing, self-aware, and thought-provoking play.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
