Oh my. This was so incredibly addicting. I could binge-read this manga series. The story is amazing and complex and I honestly feel like the characters are all very unique in their own way. As soon as I started I knew I wouldn’t like Light but I love the comedic relief the God of death, Yuki, brings. I love that Death Note is centered around the theme of morality in such a torrid way. Overall, an exciting read (I’m serious; I was talking and gasping out loud.)
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
