“Me Before You” is the first book in the “Me Before You” series by Jojo Moyes. I would highly recommend the book (and the series) for readers that enjoy reading transformative books in which the character embarks in a journey of self-discovery.

“Me Before You” follows Louisa Clark. She is an ordinary girl living an ordinary life in a tiny village. Then, Louisa’s life changes when she takes on a job she really needs from a rich family in town. Their son – Will Traynor – is now paraplegic and needs care for.
From Will, Louisa learns a lot as he lived a full, athletic, and adventurous life. Now, Will is moody and bossy and he is resentful of the new life he has to lead. Fate, however, has different plans for the two as they get closer.
As for Louisa, she might finally be learning how to live an extraordinary life.

{MILD SPOILERS}
I’m going to be honest; I can not, for the life of me, write a coherent review for this book. (Admittedly, rationality is somewhat lost on me when I become emotional.)
I finished reading this book about ten-twenty minutes ago and I’ve been walking aimlessly around my room, sobbing violently, trying to drink some water, wipe my tears and snots, and think about comforting ‘happy’ thoughts.
My 19-year-old self even went down the stairs crying to my mother and asking her for a hug and alarmingly she hugged me, thinking I went off the deep end before I uttered words like; “book ” “so sad” “oh god” “it hurts” “sad” “can’t stop crying” “life’s not fair” “sad book.”
Any book that brings me to such emotional distraught is well crafted to my standards. If it can make me feel real emotions such as pain, anger, frustration, love, longing, etc. It is definitely a well-written and impactful work of fiction and will automatically make it to my 6 stars shelf.
That is all I can say for the first time around. (I will probably – or not – have more coherent thoughts and opinions when I reread it for the second time around.)
“You only get one life. It’s actually your duty to live it as fully as possible.”
“Push yourself. Don’t Settle. Just live well. Just LIVE.”
