I still hold the belief that everyone should read “Romeo & Juliet” by William Shakespeare at least once! The poetic language of this play is what makes this story enticing.

The story of “Romeo & Juliet” follows two young teens as they fall in love despite the murderous battle between both of their families. The feud between the Montagues and Capulets runs blood deep and will always lead to bloodshed… it is up to these two youngsters to change their fates.
This is the second time I’ve read Romeo & Juliet.
I realized that what moves me most about this play is THE POETIC LANGUAGE.
I can’t help but to love Romeo’s speeches. His friends and cousin mock and admire his poetic temper. Even Friar Laurence ask him to cut his dramaticism and riddles but admires and condemns his poetic nature.
Another thing that I have noticed is the brashness of characters from the Montague and Capulet houses. They’re all quick to change their minds and hearts while still preserving the weighing difference between the houses.
Overall, an amazing and poetic tragedy.
“Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.”
“These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triump die, like fire and powder
Which, as they kiss, consume”
