I love the way Paul Auster narrates his life – in the second person – because it made me feel very inclusive in his story. He was very honest and genuine; I could tell that he was not holding back one bit. It’s rare for me to enjoy a book with little to no dialogue but this is one of it. Now that I know the writer; I want to go dabble into his works.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
