This was a really good sequel but it could have been a bit better? I can’t pinpoint what was missing in this one… I think it’s because the story conceals everyone’s power so once they show symptoms of greater power… it’s like yeah alright I was expecting this a while ago. Although I’m devastated of Nehemia’s death; I felt like it was too sudden and too easily done for me to feel, feel anything about it. I don’t know all in all I really enjoyed this book; the tone of the book grew darker which was interesting and well done. Also the pacing of the book was still quick and the story and characters still engrossing. I’m still excited for the next book. I’m hoping for it to be better than this one though.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
