Cymbeline is such a fun and eerie read. Shakespeare made sure to include all of his tropes and twist them around in this one. I love Innogen, definitely one of his stronger female character. All the other characters go through a redeeming arc or if not die, which is at once satisfactory and not for those of us that enjoy a bit more of justice. Overall, a great, fast, play to watch/read.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
