This was literally an inventory of every city and its cultural practices visited supposedly visited by the great, and one and only, Marco Polo. Very tedious and boring with some alarming practices (cannibalism) and power abuse (Grand Khan) with some “interesting” lapses (like two and they’re not that memorable upon recollection).
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
