This book is for every book lovers and book fanatics out there. It is for creatives and artists. And, it is even for non-creatives and non-readers that would like to get into reading and explore the power of reading, consuming, and owning books. Having said that, a lot of people read. Books are so versatile. There are so many genres, interests, and career paths in books. A lot of people construct their “Ideal Bookshelf” even if say, they don’t read the books on this shelf. Even if they just enjoy the design, texture, comfort of having the book spines displayed, or the books splayed out on the coffee table, etc. There were a bunch of gems collected in this book. (I personally can’t even construct my own ideal bookshelf – it is way too hard and ever shifting.) I love what other creatives and artists had to offer about their favorite books/ideal bookshelf. I love the origin stories to their career paths as well as towards their reading path. I have gained a lot of recommendations and I have been re-passioned to read some books that have been sitting on my shelves for yearsssss.
“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
“In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”
