If you love the gothic, disastrous romances, and an intense revenge story… then I highly recommend “Wuthering Heights” by Emily Brontë!
Book Review: The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx
“The Communist Manifesto” by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels is a short book highlighting what was at the time of 1848 the fight of the laboring (proletariat) class from the wealthy and exploitive class (the bourgeoisie.)
I recommend this read – more so – as an understanding of the socio-historical context of its time of publishing.
Book Review: Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
“Sharp Objects” by Gillian Flynn is an amazing book for mystery-thriller lovers. Heck, even Stephen King blurbed the book!
Book Review: You Come Too by Robert Frost
“You Come Too” by Robert Frost is perfect for people who love nature poetry. Reading Frost made me think of Mary Oliver who also wrote a lot of nature poetry!
Book Review: Lovely, Dark and Deep by Amy McNamara
“Lovely, Dark and Deep” by Amy McNamara is a very hard-hitting YA book dealing with grief, loss, and depression. I was truly captivated by this book and highly recommend it!
Book Review: Ash by Malinda Lo
If you like retellings and unconventional queer retellings at that, you will enjoy “Ash” by Malinda Lo!
