“Rumi: Poems” is a collection of poems by medieval Persian poet Rumi published by the Everyman Library publishing.
Rumi’s poems are – rooted in Sufism – are about spirituality, love, friendship, nature, and many more themes that resonate with readers until this day.
I really love Rumi. I fairly enjoyed this selected collection. I have tabbed a good 15 poems that have truly resonated with me.
Something about Rumi always makes me want to strive for better and simultaneously to open myself up.
As usual, his poems have a great focus in God, nature, love, and friendship. There is an ethereal inner and outer richness that he consistently expose.
“This silence, this moment, every moment, if it’s genuinely inside you, brings what you need. There’s nothing to believe. Only when I stopped believing in myself did I come into this beauty.”
“The soul has been given its own ears to hear things mine doesn’t understand.”
